What is the purpose of the "Oratory Contest"?
"Right to Life of Michigan's annual high school oratory contests are open to all prolife high school students in Michigan. Contestants will give a 5-7 minute speech on one of several prolife topics. Contests are sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan affiliates across the state. Winners of the local affiliate contests will compete in the statewide annual High School Oratory Contest in the Lansing area May 22 in Charlotte, and the winner of the state competition will win a trip to compete in the National Right to Life Oratory Contest on June 26 in Herndon, VA.
Our 2022 local contest has been canceled.

2019 : Is was THAT close!
Just 3 points separated first place from second place. And there was tie for second place. Sam Venema (R) was first with euthanasia as his topic. Both Janelle Costello and Joseph Beers selected Abortion. All speeches were well researched and presented. Thank you for all your work and time to prepare and participate in this event.
