Abortion Alternatives, Pregnancy Options and Adoption Referrals
Mecosta/Osceola Right to Life, Inc.
Mecosta/Osceola Right to Life, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the gift of life.
We seek to inform others regarding life issues, pregnancy options, such as adoption and parenting, abortion alternatives, availability of adoption referrals, end of life care and to influence state and national legislation relating to life issues. We are a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization comprised of volunteers who share a common goal – protecting human life from conception to natural death.
A lot of pregnancies that end with an abortion occur when the mother is young, perhaps in high school or college, the mother is working and has determined that now is not the time, her family size or care capabilities have maxed out or her relationship with the father is in trouble. The decision to proceed with an abortion is difficult. An innocent life is going to end. However, an abortion is not the only pregnancy option for you.
Let's assume the mother decided to continue the pregnancy through birth. A student or working mother may find it difficult to pay bills, attend classes, or maintain a work schedule. And after birth she may or may not be in a position to raise her child. What if she decides to terminate her pregnancy instead? Experience has shown that women who have an abortion can suffer post abortion depression and post abortion health issues. Either way there may be consequences and challenges.
Many have decided to use the abortion pill. Unfortunately, there can be serious complications from the abortion pill. The good news is the abortion pill can be reversed.
Is there support locally to help her with her decision? Well, there is. This site provides you a list of agencies in and near Big Rapids that can help you understand your pregnancy options and help you with your decision. There are agencies that can help you financially, provide diapers and clothing, parental education, ongoing free pregnancy counseling and more. And there are adoption agencies that can help you through the adoption process to place your child for adoption. For every child referred for adoption that are between 30 and 40 families in line hoping your child will join their family. See the story of Miranda, a high school teenager pressured to abort her child.
Your child is a an irreplaceable gift to all of us. Talk to someone. There are abortion clinic alternatives for you in our area. Make sure you understand your pregnancy options and all the risks of your decision. Then do what’s best for you and your child.
We recommend you install "See Baby Pregnancy Guide" from your App Store.
